I have in my small business an HP ProLiant ML110 Windows 2003 SBS system where when ever it boots up it stalls and just displays a flashing cursor. No errors, no boot failure messages as such, now i have isolated the problem to an External USB Maxtor HDD that is plugged in to the server, if i unplug the drive the server boots up fine, if i plug the USB drive back in and reboot then the server stalls displaying just a flashing cursor on a blank screen. I have checked the cmos settings and the boot menu clearly displays the USB as the LAST option to boot from with the CD/rom, hard drive and network as the priority boot options. ANy ideas guys, firmware upgrade?? I dont think its a windows issue, but could be wrong. Rapidshare movies org. I have the latest service pack2 and updates installed btw.

Hewlett-Packard / ProLiant ML110 G5 won't boot with any USB 3.0 Drive attached (have tried a couple of different brands). BIOS boot order is properly set. I have HP Proliant ML110 G6 server with following RAID configuration: 1st RAID - 1 disk in Raid 0 (just a logical drive to make the system to see it) 2nd RAID - 2 disks in Raid 1+0 When I install Windows 7 on the 2nd RAID and it goes to restart first time - it doesn't boot from HDD - 'Boot Failed.
