The convenience is that every letter is typed with definite and distinctive keys, and there are no other alterations in this typing process. And খ is typed when shift+k is pressed. Similarly, the three varieties of s letters of Bengali language are typed when s, Shift+s, Control+s are typed respectively. 'Bangla Word' software also uses a clever trick to memorize its other Bengali letters for which there are no equivalent English keys, such as, for Bengali letter ত there are no other equivalent keys than the key t, which is already allotted to type ট and ঠ.

So, a different key x is allotted for that purpose. And to memorize it, it can be easily identified with the upper half of the letter x which looks like the letter ত. Similarly, the first two strokes of the Bengali letter দ can be easily identified with the letter v. Similarly, Bengali Jo-fola sign can be easily identified with the letter z. It joins two consecutive letters and forms 'Juktobornos' with the help of stroking F1 key.

This software is not Unicode based, but many compatible Bengali fonts are now available in the internet. Bangla Word cannot be typed directly on Microsoft Word document page, but it can be pasted on MS Word pages.
